Our mission is to foster communications within Brick Presbyterian Church and to the surrounding community. We seek to keep the congregation aware of the many activities that go on in the life of our church and to let our neighbors know that BPC plays an active role in the Brick Community. In this role, we work closely with other church committees in their mission activities as the need arises. For example, we are the group who worked with the Evangelism & Outreach Committee in creating a Church Banner to march under for Brick Township’s Annual Memorial Day parade and we are the folks who worked with the Fundraising Committee in advertising planned events such as the Antique Appraisal show, the Craft Show, and our annual Italian Dinner.
The way we get the word out varies widely. We serve as editors for BPC’s Monthly Newsletter. We collect and generate content for the Church website, it’s Facebook page, Instagram, and Constant Contact. We advertise church events and activities in local newspapers, via Brick TV Online, and on the Monmouth Presbytery website.
We are always looking for new ways to get the word out as well as for new helpers. The Communications Committee meets in the church parlor on the first and third Wednesday of each month, usually between 11:30 and 1:30.
